1 (A Song of degrees for Solomon.)Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that it:except the LORD keep city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2 it is vain for you to rise up early,to sit up late,to eat the bread of sorrow: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo,children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of womb is reward

4 As sorrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with enemies in the gate.

Psalms Chapter 127: Verses 1-5

What Makes A Dad

God toke the strength of a mountain,

The majesty of a tree,

The warmth of a summer sun,

The calm of a quiet sea,

The generous soul of nature,

The comforting arm of night,

The wisdom of the ages,

The power of the eagle’s flight,

The joy of a morning in Spring,

The faith of a mustard seed,

The patience of eternity,

The depth of family need,

Then God combined these qualities,

When there was nothing more to add,

He knew His masterpiece was complete,

And so,He called it..Dad

This Sunday,June 21,We will celebrate our fathers…and how wonderful, supportive, protective, and special they are and were. Whether, they live near or far or they are not with us anymore…they deserve to be celebrated and remembered for all they do,have done…and continue to do. For, they are truly a blessing to have.

Father’s Day– has not been celebrated and recognized quit as long as Mother’s Day has been…nor was it accepted as warmly… at first. The recognition of Father’s Day… actually started way before it became an official nationwide celebrated holiday..in 1972. This recognition, first began on July 19,1910…when the governor… of the U.S. state… of Washington proclaimed the first ‘Father’s Day’. You can read more here on the origins of this day.
